Fussy’s Babysitter’s Club

by Allison Worthington on May 13, 2008

Ack! Tonight is the night. I’m so nervous that I feel a bit dizzy. Sure, I’ve done this four times before, but still…..ugh…labor, IVs, epidurals. No, I never get used to it.

Say a prayer for me tonight. Could you also say a prayer for Mr. Smartypants? Epidurals make me ill and he gets thrown up on from 3 to 10 times. What? TMI? Oh, sorry, forget I said anything, K? Anyhoo..

The winner of the last minute giveaway was  Michelle of Michelle Smiles. However, she graciously told me to skip her because she has won a contest before. See how nice she is? That meant Amanda won and she chose the floating turquoise. The winning comment # was 71. My age (31) + Hub’s age (40) = 71. I loved getting to know everyone so well yesterday. I’m gonna do more of these just to learn about your awesomeness!

Now, Ahem, about the babysitters. I knew my poor blog would be so neglected if I just up and left the poor thing alone…

Fussy_with_no_sitter_2

A brave group of wonderful women stepped up to form the "Official Fussypants Blog Babysitters Club."

Fussy_babysitters_club_3

Here are just a few of the wonderful All-Start group of much better bloggers than I women who are sacrificing their time to keep the blog from getting lonely. Recognize them?

Clockwise from the top- Mrs.Flinger, Playgroups are no place for children, Redneck Mommy, Random Monkey, Sarcastic Mom, Looking Towards Heaven, Cheaper than Therapy. There are many, many more wonderful babysitters, but I’ll let you be surprised.

Tomorrow everyone’s favorite superhero will start off the guest blogger fun-

Megan_saves_the_masses

All the babysitters are wonderful and I’m excited for you, Friends of Fussy, to read and get to know any of them who may be new to you. I’ll slip in some baby picture laden posts, too.

I’ll miss you. Be sure to leave lots of comment love while I’m away. When guest bloggers don’t get alot of comment love it makes them cry. Really, it does. We don’t want that.

OK, off to go pack my bag, pace the house, take a shower and find some ice cream.

Love you sooo much,

Fussy

I’ll be praying for you. New little ones are so exciting, but the medical stuff that goes along with it, not so much.

Oh, my dear, dear, freakin’ hilarious Mrs Fussy. I’ll be praying for you. May God keep you calm (and minimally sick- poor husband!), and keep your boys at home happy and content with their substitute mom(s), and keep the new boy safe and warm and sweet as can be.
Can’t wait to hear all the good news soon. Don’t stay gone for too long!!

Good luck, Fussy. But you don’t have to get sick after the epidural. I, like you, did every single time. In fact, I got nauseated during my C-sections. Ask for Nubain! It goes into your IV and will stop the vomiting instantly.

We’ll be praying for you, Mr. Smartypants and the wee one on the way.

Yay, Fussy – you’ll do great! And I had no idea that you and Mr. Smartypants were 9 years apart. Wowsas. That means when he was getting his drivers licence, you were playing with barbies. When he was going to college, you were nervous about going to junior high. Oh, I love this game.
Anyway – good luck tonight. You’ll be in my prayers!

I’m so excited for you Alli! I know you will do great, but I will definitely keep you (and the hubs) in my thoughts!
Now, go enjoy that ice cream and shower – it will be a while before you get any more of either! :)

prayers and good thoughts for a puke-free epidural experience! Tell your anesthesiologist we want him to give you the good stuff this time! Can’t wait to see a real pic of baby fussy, I mean I’ve been loving the stick-figure drawing but it leaves a bit to be desired :)
