You Know You Are a Redneck When…

you know youre a redneck mommy when You Know You Are a Redneck When...

You know you are a redneck when…You think duct tape fixes everything!

Example 1-

Say you realize your gallon of milk has a little leak?

You duct tape it, of course!

I mean, why let good milk go to waste?

Example 2-

Say you are hosting a fancy conference and your son calls you from school because his pants are ripped. Your Hubby is in all-day meetings and you can't leave the conference?

What would the redneck mommy do?

She would ask the school secretary to duct tape the inside of his pants til the end of the school day.

Um, yeah, that's me.

Example 3-

Say your sewing machine is broken or you never learned how to use it and you need to whip up some mistreatments to cover your really expensive furniture?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In all seriousness, this post is part of the online slobbering love affair we are having for North America's Sweetheart- Tanis a.k.a. The Redneck Mommy.
It happened. The ELECTRIC MOMENT. The moment we prayed for, the moment we cried over, the moment she held her sweet son safely in her arms.
My heart bursts for the beautiful redneck family.
How can you celebrate with and help our favorite Canadian rednecks?
From the Shower page-
And if you want to do some extra showerin', maybe consider throwing
a little sumthin' into our little tin can – we're collectin' monies for
supplies for newest redneck, who has some special needs: drop it
paypal-style at coolmompicks@gmail.com
And/or consider making a
donation to one of the following charities in honor of Tanis' angel
boy, Shale, who we know, we KNOW, is just so super happy that he's
getting a brand-new brother and that his mommy is bringing home another
soul to hug and love:
you know, a love affair with duct tape COULD mean you’re an engineer, not necessarily a redneck…at least that’s what I try and tell myself! ;)
I KNEW we were redneck sistahs.
I’m so sending you a roll of duct tape for holidays now! Whoot!
Seriously, Fussypants, thank you. Thank you from the bottom of our little redneck hearts for welcoming the Kid into my family offline and online.
You rock.
Yay! Thank you for this, Ali. I haven’t been following Tanis’s adventure in a while, and it makes me soooooooo happy to hear that she’s got her baby and that’s he’s hers. I’m gonna head over to read the news now and do all I can to support her! Yipppppeeeee.
I’m loving that you used what we always called the ‘fancy-pants’ silver duct tape.
Daddy always said the silver kind makes ya go faster!
P.S. You did an amazing job with Blissdom09. Thank you!
Duct tape keeps the world together. And also most of my furniture.
We love your site! There is a strong emphasis on family with an “authentic” feeling and that’s the way it should be. What is more important than family? Nothing! We feel the same way and focus primarily on family too, with the added touch of everything being personalized. We are so happy our paths have crossed. Keep up the great work!
Duct tape rules in this house. It’s literally my answer for everything.
