Business Trip with a Side of Fun.

One of the best things about working in Social Media is the community of women who both work together and have built strong friendships.

We are all unique. We bring different stories, experiences and philosophies to our work. However, the longer I work in this field and get the chance to collaborate with such smart women; I notice a common theme.

Successful women working together, celebrating and encouraging each others successes. Maybe it is the transparent nature of Social Media that attracts such great people.  The  women in this space are amazing. I am impressed with both their brilliance and their heart.

Yesterday I worked with these women….

Chicago is one of my most favorite, favorite cities…ahem, I was born there and all of our families are there — I just call myself a displaced Midwestern girl living in the South. Anyway, I loved looking at your pics — it is bittersweet as this is the first Christmas in nineteen years we won’t be heading home.

And for me, the reason I love most about blogging and reading blogs is the encouragement I get to offer and receive. :)

Hope you’re getting settled in nicely in the new digs. I had hoped I might get to meet you at the P-Dub book signing but you were elsewhere. :) I was such a geek and completely starstruck.

Hugs!

Beautiful. I’ve never been to Chicago but lived in NY for a while. There is nothing like bright lights, snow, and Christmas Decor in “a big city” Sounds like the trip was amazing. What great women. Went over to Hormone-colored Days. Good stuff, smart gal. Fun read. What a great time to be women in business. Really!

Love this post and looking forward to working together again soon. (I have some ideas!) You are a mogul and then some, not only with brains and beauty but the kindness and wisdom of a true leader. It was such an honor to be a part of you conference. Thank you so much. I am still pinching myself about the opportunity.
